About Johnny & Ana

Both Pastor Johnny and Ana Paula have a passion for global outreach and evangelism and a deep love for the nations of the earth. Pastor Johnny has served and done ministry in over 15 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Central and South America. Joy Church Medford is now sending them to pursue full-time missions work as church planters in the Southernmost state of Mexico, Chiapas, for Spanish speakers and indigenous peoples in the region.

Johnny completed his PhD. in Bible exposition with an emphasis in biblical Greek and Hebrew for Bible translation. In addition, he holds a Th.M. in theology, an MDiv. and M.A. in Biblical Studies, and an M.A. in Biblical languages. Ana has completed her AA. in Christian ministry and is pursuing her B.A. in theological studies from Liberty University.

All around the world, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, we are eager to join the Lord of the harvest by sending Johnny and Ana Paula as laborers on the mission field. Both Johnny and Ana are fluent in Spanish, Ana was born and raised in La Paz, and they each have years of ministry and missions experience preparing them for this specific assignment. We believe they are an incredibly capable and qualified couple to step into full-time missions and to join the Lord in what he is doing in the nations.

They are being sent under the blessing and covering of Joy Church Medford and the Joy Churches movement. We invite you to pray and give towards their mission of reaching the nations of the earth with the Gospel, beginning in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico!

Thank you for praying with us and giving to support our work among the nations! The all-consuming passion in both Ana’s and my life is to honor the Lord Jesus and bring Him glory in everything we do. The overflow of this deep passion and love for Christ is our zeal to make Christ known in the nations of the earth, especially where they have never heard the Gospel or heard His name.

We want to radically dedicate our lives as missionaries to the mission of the Lord Jesus until the whole world has had the chance to hear the Gospel, the Good News of His wonderful love!

Inspired by Romans 1:5, our personal mission statement for our family and as missionaries is to:

“To live and labor for the sake and honor of Jesus’ name among the nations, especially the unreached, for the glory of God our joy!”

Our desire is that as the Moravian missionaries of old prayed, that the lamb of God would receive the reward of His suffering in and through us. For this reason, we are joyfully going to the mission field to give ourselves to this task.

Thank you for praying for us and giving toward our ministry in the nations. We look forward to sharing the miracles and testimonies of how the Lord uses your support to change the nations of the earth.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for joining us on this beautiful mission!

A note from Johnny & Ana

Join Us On Our Mission

The harvest in the Spanish-speaking world is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Our vision is to plant a thriving missional local church in the heart of southern Mexico in Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of Chiapas, Mexico’s southernmost state. This local church will serve as the base for a Bible college providing theological education and a missions training center to send church plants and missionaries throughout Southern Mexico and Central and South America.

Our Vision

We have a threefold vision and mission to reach Spanish-speaking peoples in Southern and Central Mexico with the Gospel! Our primary mission will be the planting and establishing of a thriving and missional local church. This local church will serve as the base for a Bible college providing theological education and a missions training center to send church plants and missionaries throughout Southern Mexico and Central and South America.

A Thriving Missional Local Church

Southern Mexico is one of the least-reached and least-evangelized areas in all of Mexico. Coupled with extreme poverty and the largest number of indigenous peoples, there is an urgent need for thriving, missional, Gospel-centered Evangelical churches to be planted in this region. This is our goal in the planting of Joy Church Chiapas!

Bible College & Theological Education

Biblical illiteracy, a theological famine, and a lack of pastoral and leadership training are the realities in Southern Mexico and much of Central America. There is a desperate need for a Bible college to provide sound theology and doctrine to both laymen and women, as well as the next generation of pastors and leaders. We want to establish an international Bible college for Spanish speakers across the region!

Missions/Church Planting Training Center

Chiapas is the perfect location for a mission base for church planting in Southern Mexico and Central America! Spanish is spoken in over 20+ countries and is the second most spoken language in the world by native speakers. This makes it an incredible missional and evangelistic tool for church planting and missions. We want to train indigenous pastors and receive international students for missions and church planting!

Family Update

Johnny and Ana Paula have been married since 2023. They have one beautiful daughter, Dalia Grace, and are excited to have many more children and continue building their family! In addition to ministry and missions, they love to travel, explore the world, and experience adventures together as a family. Johnny loves to run, compete in Ironman triathlons, and read, and Ana enjoys anything creative, time with family and friends, and a beautiful dinner or a great cup of coffee.
